Patterns of Colombia: chivas
On 13, Mar 2013 | No Comments | In Bogotá, Product Design | By ClaireGuilloton
A Chiva is an artisan rustic bus used in rural Colombia. Chivas are adapted to rural public transport, especially considering the mountainous geography of the Andean region of the country. In Bogotá, people rent chivas for the night to party and get drunk with aguardiente.
The buses are varied and characterized by being painted colorfully and that’s why I decided to get a pattern out of it. I think it represents well colours of Colombia.
