Chess and flowers

I was just playing with the new camera to discover that I have to learn everything about it… Sniff! I hate my pictures!
I am getting better at bargaining flowers: 5000 pesos (2.5 Euros / 1.8 Pound) for this. Maybe in one year I will be the best!
My chair

A while ago, I bought this beautiful chair in the Mercardo de las pulgas of the street 26. The flee market is open on Sundays and you can find all sorts of old things.
I decided to make a cushion for it and chose a nice fabric in Telas & Tonos street 77 with 14. They have so much choice! We got an old sewing machine from a friend of us and I think I will try to use it more! I need to practice a lot…
Merci Ghislaine pour l’aide.
Girasoles (Sunflowers)

I was happy taking pictures of sunflowers I bought in the flower market today. Well, I am a bit upset because I tried to negociate and I did. But another woman we met afterwards managed to get 3 times more flowers for the same price. And she was white like me! Grrr! I still need to learn!
Just training in photography as light in the living room was amazing. The light of Bogotá is amazing (when it’s sunny) at around 4.30/5pm. Just before the sun goes down.
Rubyshoes in Bogotá

Time has come to put a bit of English spirit in Bogotá. Just hang the bunting from Rubyshoes in my house, on the window of the Virrey Park.
If you want to know more about Rubyshoes, please visit their website, which I was very happy to design last year.
Bought in Expoartesanias

This is what I bought in Expoartesanias. Those amazing table mats are all made by hand with an element of a tree. It takes a woman 2 weeks of full time work to do this pieces (6).
Photo together with plates with a typical Colombian design. Just need to make a browny table cloth to go with.

We have finally found a place to live here in Bogotá, after three months waiting to find the perfect flat. Close to our daughter’s school, on the side of a park called the Virrey, close to the mountain and with a CHIMNEY!!! WOWOWOW! I am just showing it to you, as this will be somewhere where I hope I will get creative. And for the moment, it is all blank… So many things to do!
