Las puertas del cielo is a festival located Carrera 1 Calle 68, around a church, whose main goal is to show the work of independant designers. It happened last weekend but I will let you know when they organise a new one.
From tomorrow, I will show you the work of designers who were there.
More information about Las puertas del cielo in there.
Last week, one of my friend called Cecile was organising a private sale at her flat. Lovely canvas, independant designers, and a lot more!
Thanks so much Cecile to give the opportunity to all those people to show their work! Hope you will do another one next year!
If you are interesed to know anything about those artists/designers, please send me an email.
My dear Londoners,
If you go this Sunday 28th of April to Spitafield Market, you will find Marcia who is selling the work of Andrea Cruz, Colombian Jewellery Designer from Cali. (Older post of mine in there).
Calle 88# 13a-35. Bogotá. Until the 22nd of December.
Just went to see an art exhibition in a house in refurbishment. The topic is: “the end of the world”. This exhibition was organised at the last minute but they managed to get the press and everything.
The soldier is Mario’s (my partner). I am pround!
…and some pictures of one of the other tents. These works are from more modern designers who don’t necesarily follow the forever established rules of the artesanías. Anyway, you have to rush a bit if you want to see that event, as it terminates on the 19th of December.
At the moment, the biggest event of handcraft of the country is taking place in Bogotá. It is called Expoartesanías. We can mainly see the work that indigenes are creating to make a living and these are called artesanías. But there are also Colombian modern designers who are exhibiting in another massive tent.
A dream of patterns, colours and beauty! And Colombian people are so kind… I always ask when I take pictures and they always said YES.
