Illuminations Virrey

It seems like a tradition for people to go and see the Christmas illuminations in Bogotá. People stay there, taking pictures, enjoying themselves. There are even buses that take you from one illumination to another in different parts of the city. Our flat is so close to the one in the Virrey that we can see it from our window. So, as part of my learning of photography, I made some pictures:

Christmas in Bogotá. 2pm. Nobody.
We are located in the 15th, which is an incredibly busy street in normal condition. But today, nobody is here.
At least there is one day in the whole year where there is no noise at the point that we can listen to the piano playing in the neighbour’s.
Poinsettia

This plant called Poinsettia is the Christmas holly of Central America. Everybody has one here in Bogotá, and me too! I don’t know what happen to them after Christmas though…
Christmas decoration

We have finally started the Christmas decoration. I didn’t see any nice decoration here in houses in Bogotá. However, they decorate the parks very well. I’ll show you another day, when I get to do the visit by night.
So I have decided to do all by myself.
