Lina Espinosa is an amazing artist working around different types of media: paintings, sculptures, drawings. A big part of her work is around maps as they are, she says, a perfect combination between science and image, reality and illusion.
Her studio is full of little interesting things everywhere hanging or lying on different tables.
Lina was fantastically welcoming and when I visited her, she was packing for her next exhibition that will happen in Santa Marta (Colombia).
The Colombian hat is part of the Colombian image. Very popular. It is called the hat “Vueltiao” and is made with palm tree, like a lot of artesanias in Colombia.
