Guillermo Londoño
Guillermo is a very experienced Colombian painter with a lot of years of paintings behind him. You can see it in everything of his work and his studio.
His paintings are products of his imagination but greatly inspired from his environment too. You can perceive many times the beautiful mountains of Bogotá. He questions topics like environment, emptiness, landscapes.
More information about Guillermo Londoño is here.

I am so happy: another natural product is coming from Pachamama Plantation (My partner’s project) in the llanos: Chili pepper. This one is very small and very strong.
Again, I need to find the right bags but I am already working on the label. I have to organise a visit with my friend Marcela in the center of Bogotá to check the packaging.

José Horacio Martínez
Back to our Los Estudios Las Nieves serie. José Horacio Martínez is an amazing painter with touches of lyrical, beauty, history, imagination, and even politics. His paintings treat a lot of subjects and render a special atmosphere..
The light in the studio was amazing and gave a unique wibe to the place.
To find out more about José Horacio Martínez, please visit his website.
José was so nice that he gave us his “Libretas” book:
Muchas gracias!
Cooking in Sopó

We were invited to make some videos and photos for Wag Collective, following a chef giving a cooking lesson close to Sopó. I’m taking advantage of this event to show you inside walls.
The place is an institution for disabled children. They come here to do therapy with horses, and many more things for their development. The kitchen was outside.
If you want to take cooking lessons with Paula Silva in this beautiful place, here is her email: paulasalo@yahoo.es. You can also find out more on her Facebook page.

Carolina Gómez
Carolina is one of the only women we saw in the building. She is very talented and is working around the image of the woman. Jewellery has an important place in her work too.
At the moment, Carolina is participating in an art exhibition called “Lenguajes de papel 2013″ in Galeria el museo.
Saúl Sánchez
Carolina is sharing her studio with another very good painter: Saúl Sánchez.
This studio had a very good atmosphere. It was very bright and welcoming.

José Garciá
Our third artist: José Garciá. Amazing trompe l’oeil. Everything is painted. Except the wood floor and the shelves… I wish I could use such a beautiful bicycle today, though. Because today, the 7th of February, it’s a day without car in Bogotá. What a brilliant idea!

Jaime Franco
Jaime Franco is a talented painter who is working around architecture. The colours he’s using are very interesting and he has a beautiful serie with gold paintings.
What I like in going to an artist’s studio is that you can have a glance at his personality. Maybe more than in his work itself.
To know more about Jaime Franco, please check out his website.
Los Estudios Las Nieves – part 1

I was very excited because I’ve been invited to visit Colombian artists. We went to this place close to La Candelaria called “Los Estudios Las Nieves”. This is a whole building where they (15 people) have their own wonderful studios. We were allowed to go in some of them and the artists were all welcoming and chatty with us.
Rodrigo Echeverri Calero
Let’s start with Rodrigo Echeverri who is doing amazing perspectives with wood. His work also seems to be inspired by geology, mountains and relief. You can find out more about his work on his website.
Following artist tomorrow!
Muchas gracias Claudia por el día tan lindo.

Love street art. And I am following this blog for more than a year: Street Art Utopia. They show street art from all over the world.
That’s where I found those nice images taken in la Candelaria, one of the most beautiful place of Bogotá with its colonial style.
By Fin DAC. In La Candelaria. Bogotá, Colombia.
There are a lot of graffitis like this in Bogotá.
